Inside-and-Out Constitution-Matched Program

The Inside-and-Out Constitution-Matched Program is a care program that looks at the outside and the inside of the body as one connected whole rather than separately. It considers both the flow of blood and circulation that shows on the surface and the state of digestion and metabolism that goes on within, taking the whole body from head to toe as its scope.

Constitutional typing draws on the traditional perspectives of the cardinal directions and the five elements. Body types are distinguished according to the energies of earth, wood, water and metal, and the foods and direction of care suited to each type are decided accordingly. There are points of overlap with the widely known Sasang classification, but this approach is distinctive in that it also reflects a person's long-standing habits and present condition, and is applied individually.

The program runs in sequence, from stage one through stage ten. The earlier stages focus on attending closely to the body's condition, while the later stages place more weight on maintaining the flow that has settled in. The process of observing circulation is generally carried out in cycles of about three months.

Components such as Constitution Saengsik (raw whole-grain food), Detox Haedok Pills, spirulina, Cellulite and Boyang Extract, and minerals are used alongside the stages as appropriate. Which combination to begin with varies with constitution and daily circumstances, so the order and pairing are decided together during a consultation at the clinic.
