Dongbang Gyeongokgo
A traditional paste preparation reworking the Gyeongokgo of the Donguibogam for life today

Details
Gyeongokgo is a traditional formulation handed down in the Donguibogam, where it is recorded as the foremost restorative preparation. Its main ingredients, fresh rehmannia, poria, ginseng and honey, are simmered slowly over low heat for several days to make a paste preparation, or goje.
The blend carries the principle that fresh rehmannia takes up the warm nature of ginseng and brings it into balance. Devoting long hours so that ingredients of differing natures come together is the heart of the Gyeongokgo method.
Dongbang Gyeongokgo reworks this traditional formulation with the habits and diet of modern life in mind. Twelve herbs are added, and it is made exactly in the old traditional way, with each batch taking fourteen days.
Gyeongokgo is made every year, yet the recipe differs a little each time, because the ingredients and the blend are continually studied and refined.
As the saying goes that we are what we eat, this is a product we recommend to those who would like to tend to their everyday condition with fresh, vigorous ingredients.
